The TechWise LLC
IT Management Plan is intended to provide valued
customers with the comfort and security of having an information technology professional oversee and
maintain their network, allowing you to get the most out of your IT systems.
Many times unexpected events occur within your IT systems that have to be handled reactively. The
result is lost productivity and unexpected expenses, usually costing more than preventative maintenance
would. While these events can’t always be prevented, their frequency can be reduced, and some can be
eliminated altogether. With TechWise LLC’s Maintenance Plan you can help keep your IT
infrastructure as healthy as possible.
The Maintenance Plan provides weekly Field Engineer visits
to perform checkups and install updates that every IT system requires, allowing you to rest assured
your system is operating as up-to-date and efficiently as possible. This plan also provides you
with summary reports that inform you of your network status and potential problem areas.
TechWise LLC’s innovative Maintenance Plan is a new, forward thinking approach to minimizing problems
and maximizing productivity and performance to help keep your IT budget low.
Activities that surround your IT structure:
- Executive Summary Report
Clients will receive a periodic executive summary showing the primary status of their IT systems,
including potential limitations, key system events that have occurred, and more.
- Remote Support
This important capability allows for remote diagnostic and troubleshooting of workstations and servers.
*Requires VPN access and supported Operating Systems.
- Systems Anti-Virus Status/Updates
This weekly checkup of Anti-Virus status includes review of virus detection activity, updating
virus lists at when available, and analysis of virus detection efficiency.
*Requires Symantec Anti-virus Corporate edition or equivalent.
- Email Anti-Virus Status/Updates
Separate from System anti-virus, weekly Email Anti-Virus checkups provide a review of the email
system protection effectiveness and installation of the latest updates.
*Requires Symantec Mail Exchange Security or equivalent.
- Anti-Spam Protection Review/Adjustments
Another important ongoing checkup, weekly visits keep an eye on the status of your spam filtering
and provide any adjustments or updates as needed.
*Requires i Hate Spam for Exchange Corporate edition or equivalent.
- Spyware Maintenance
Another important productivity-draining issue, spyware can slow down your systems and chew up time.
Each workstation is scanned for spyware and cleaned to verify your system is running efficiently,
and prevents unwanted solicitations and spying.
*Requires Pest Patrol, Spybot, or equivalent.
- Patch Updates for Operating Systems
Every Operating System goes through their growth cycles. After the initial system review, the Field
Engineer will keep an eye out for updates that apply to your specific OS and provide the necessary
updates for both workstations and servers.
- Server and Critical Event Monitoring
One of many weekly services, TechWise will check each server for critical events that might occur.
This helps track issues that come up, and can also provide an outlook for changes that may need to
be made.
- Security Scanning
Every workstation and server is scanned for security configuration issues and changes. This important
service helps identify new and existing security issues that could put you and your business at risk.
TechWise will identify, recommend, and implement solutions with your approval.
- Printer Configurations
As new workstations or printers are added or changed on your network, TechWise will install and
configure printer software on your workstations, and configure your printers for optimal performance.
- Basic user and group maintenance
A common task often needed, creating or removing new users and groups as employees change can be done
with just a phone call or email. TechWise will create or remove employee server accounts based on
your requests.
- Scheduled Server Reboots
Refreshes your Servers and resets them to make sure they’re functioning at peak performance.
- Backup Maintenance
Backups are a routine item, until they’re needed. Then they become a critical component to get your
business back on its feet. This periodic check will help make sure your backups are performing
properly for if and when they would ever be needed.
- Firmware Updates - Router/Firewall
Like the Servers and Workstations, these connectivity devices are the pipelines to smooth data
transfers. They have updates that make sure they run efficiently, allowing your data the smoothest
path available. Periodic checks make sure they’re functioning properly, and updates help them operate
at their best.
- Hardware/Software Inventory
Keeping a regular status check on your hardware and software inventory provides you with your asset
management review. It also keeps an eye on the status of your hardware and software, alerting you
to capacity and condition issues. Inventory lists also help keep you up to date with your licensing
requirements.
- Performance Monitoring and Trend Analysis
TechWise will keep an eye on your server’s performance, which can help make sure you’re getting the
best results from your systems, and bringing to light any possible future changes to consider.
Tracking performance over a period of time helps identify trends, and allows for better proactive
planning.
- Servers/Workstations Physical Cleaning
Over the course of the year our field engineers will physically clean each system, helping to extend
their life and prevent premature equipment replacement issues.
- AD Management - GPO Management
Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Objects are the central account security structure of
your Microsoft network. As changes occur with people and responsibilities within your organization,
our Field Engineers will maintain and adjust your systems to make sure your Active Directory and
GPO implementations are optimally configured.
TechWise LLC provides monitoring and configuration of hardware and software for optimizing performance
and stability. We can not guarantee that hardware will not fail, or that software bugs, viruses or
hackers will not cause system downtime. Our goal is to provide preventative measures to reduce these
events, alert you to pending issues where identified, and to allow your business to better plan and
maintain your Information Technology systems.
